§ 30-141. Scope and application of article

  • (a) The off-street parking requirements and off-street loading requirements of this article shall apply within all zoning districts for all uses and structures, except as described in section 30-147

    (b) When the intensity of use of a building or structure shall be increased with consequent effect upon the prescribed unit of parking computation, as prescribed in this article, the parking and/or loading requirements as prescribed in this article shall be used to provide for such increase in intensity and/or use.

    (c) At such time that the use of a building or structure is changed, parking and loading requirements as prescribed in this article shall be used to determine the parking or loading requirements for the new use. If the structure or building was in existence prior to the enactment of this article, parking and loading facility requirements shall be only necessary by the amount that the requirements for the new use shall exceed the previous use, had the previous use been subject to the same parking and loading facility requirements of this chapter.
