§ 24-33. Operation of motorized golf carts

  • In order to provide safe vehicular operations on public streets adjacent to or in the vicinity of Deer Run Golf Course, the public streets in the Deer Run neighborhood and Laketown neighborhood are designated as roadways where motorized golf carts may be operated, subject to the following conditions:

    (a) The operation of motorized golf carts on the designated streets shall be subject to full compliance with the provisions of Minn. Stats. § 169.045, as amended.

    (b) A permit, with a fee as established by the city council, shall be issued to the owner of the motorized golf cart upon a completed application on the form prescribed by the city, accompanied by proof of ownership, and proof of insurance complying with the provisions of Minn. Stats. § 65B.45, subd. 5, as amended.

    (c) Only persons with a valid Minnesota driver's license shall be permitted to operate a motorized golf cart on any local public streets as designated above.
